Troy Hounshell, MPT, ScD, COMT

Adjunct Professor, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, School of Allied Health, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

Mr. Hounshell is the Director and Co-Founder of the WellStar Wellness Clinic. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at TTUHSC in Lubbock, Texas.

Troy received his MPT in Physical Therapy the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in 2000, completed his Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine - U.S. in 2004, and his Doctor of Science (ScD) degree from TTUHSC in 2005. He specializes in rehabilitation and manual therapy of the spine and extremities. He has a specific interest in rehabilitation enhancement through improving the nutritional status of his patients.

He has authored and edited several publications in highly recognized peer-reviewed medical journals, and maintains a vast library of cutting edge medical research to ensure his staff is up to date on the latest techniques and treatment methods in rehabilitation and wellness. Mr. Hounshell speaks frequently throughout the state on topics ranging from nutrition and exercise, pre-employment functional testing, wellness initiatives, and business development.

Mr. Hounshell was selected as one of the local medical professionals to give advice in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal's "Healthy Advice From the Pros" and his column can be found in the Lubbock AJ every other Tuesday.
